As tradition would have it, some of my IU girlfriends and I were able to reunite. This year, sans kids and husbands for a girls weekend in our old stomping grounds! We tried to re-do it, college style. We mixed cocktails in the back of my car and put them in Red Solo cups and we took in a rainy game. And the Hoosiers knocked off Penn State for the first time in history.

After touring Emma's sorority house, we went out, to take on Bloomington! We enjoyed a fantastic meal at Uptown Cafe. We chatted, we were served upscale drinks, we had a grand time. And during this time we soon came to realize we were 35 years old and getting beer sloshed on us, stepping on a sticky floor, yelling over loud music and drinking cheap drinks somewhere lost its appeal. So we stayed put and had more $10 martinis and enjoyed each others company. Why? Because we could.

And to end the weekend on an upscale note, we bypassed Denny's and had a fantastic breakfast at FARM Bloomington.
